Getting discus to eat flakes

Postby ckrodri » Sun Nov 26, 2017 6:56 pm

Hello all I have had my discus for 7 seven days on flakes but doesn't touch them. He is healthy eats brine shrimp very well but won't accept flake food. Anyone has suggestions?

Don't feed him flakes ....

If you've only had him/them for 7 days, let him adjust to his new home, and surroundings before you try to feed him foods he likely hasn't had before.
Stick with whatever they were feeding him before you bought them. I've fed mine live and frozen bloodworms for over 3 months before he finally accepted frozen Mysis shrimp. All I can suggest is patience, and keep feeding foods they like.

Maybe someone else has suggestions...
There's always room for one more tank
